CHAPTER 1 - PROLOGUE

1.1 - START

Follow the path to the low wall blocking the path in front of you. Press the action button to vault over the wall. Turn left and head for the open window. Press the action button in front of the window to vault through the window and into the office.

Proceed to the door with the large lock. Aim at the lock and shoot it. Go through the door.

Go down the catwalk and down the stairs. At the bottom, turn right towards the projection screen. Head towards the second pillar on the right and to the side, facing the garage doors, you'll find some C4. Press the action button to plant it. Turn right and go through the double doors. Turn left in the hallway. Go down the hallway, down the stairs, into the shower room. Walk forward and to your right. A Trooper is standing around the corner to the left.

Take cover along the wall to the left, before the corner, and aim at the Trooper to get a head shot. Go towards the C4 icon on the support pillar to the right of his body. Place the C4 charge and continue along the hallway. Take cover along the left wall before the left turn at the end of the hallway.

There's a Trooper standing in front of the alarm panel on the right side of the room, kill him. Another will come running from the left side of the room to the right. If he sounds the alarm, shoot it to disable it. Take him out and another Trooper will run around the corner at the far end of the room. Kill him, move away from the wall, hug the left wall and slowly go into the room. There will be another Trooper standing by the second door on the left side. Take him out and head to the far end of the room. Take cover on the left wall before the corner.

Aim down the hallway to see a Trooper flip over a folding table and another one coming out of a room. Kill them and move forward to the metal crate on the left. Quickly take cover behind it. Two Troopers will come from the right at the end of the hallway, first one, then the other. Kill them and go down the hallway. At the end of the hallway, take cover along the right wall behind the flipped table.

Aim down the hall to see two Troopers standing by another padlocked door and another crouched behind a crate. The two by the door will advance forward to hide behind the crate as well. Kill all three. Go down the hallway, shoot the lock off the door and go inside.


1.2 - ESCAPE

Go up the stairs to the open door. There'll be a Trooper waiting just past the door on the right. Kill him and look for another Ttaking cover behind the second pillar on the right. Kill him and enter the room. Head forward and to the left towards the wooden door. A Trooper will be waiting in front, kill him and take cover along the door.

Inside the warehouse, there's a Trooper to the left standing in front of a stack of crates. Take him out and scan the room for the next Trooper, hiding behind the forklift. Throw a grenade and blow him up. Go up the metal stairs at the far end of the warehouse to the raised walkway. Follow the walkway to the metal stairs leadning to the catwalk and go up. Follow the catwalk to the left and sprint. Go into the room.

There's a C4 icon on the left wall as you enter. Plant it and break the ammo crate on the table to collect the ammo. Go out the door and down the stairs. /p>

There will be five Troopers around the two trucks to the right of the stairs. Kill all of them before taking care of the helicopter hovering above the courtyard.

To destroy the Helicopter you'll need one of the RPG Launchers placed around the courtyard. Aim it at the helicopter, wait for the reticle to stop spinning and turn into a solid red circle. Follow the movement of the helicopter to lock on to it. A sound will allert you to the lock-on. As soon as you hear it, fire. Do this three times to get rid of the helicopter.


CHAPTER 2 - EXPOSURE

2.1 - START

Walk to the shack directly in front of you. After the cutscene, go out the door the Trooper came through and sprint to the four barrels behind the sign with a face on it.

Take cover behind them and wait for the four Troopers to come through the windows. Take them out and go into the pub. Two more Troopers will come from around the far left corner. Kill them and go up the stairs. Go through the closed door to the encounter in the alleyway.

Four or five Troopers will be waiting for you outside in the alley. After killing them, you'll get the Steal ability.

The first thing you have to steal is a C4 Explosive placed on a tall scaffolding at the end of the street on the left. Aim at the C4 until the reticle changes shape and a orange glow appears on the C4. Throw the Glaive at it to steal it. Take the C4 and place it on the door across the alley from the scaffolding. After it explodes, go inside and follow the hallway to the room on the right. Go into the room and walk over the broken boards.


2.2 - MARKET

You'll see a Trooper down the hall stalking the door leading to the room you're in. When he bursts through the door, kill him. Now go out into the hall and turn left. A Trooper will be waiting at the other end of the hall. Kill him, follow the hall to the right and go through the hole in the wall. Go into the office, out the door and down the stairs into the warehouse.

Walk to the large opening in the front of the warehouse. Five Troopers will disembark from a helicopter. Take cover behind the boxes and take these Troopers out before they can kill you. They will throw Enferon grenades at you, so be prepared to move away quickly. The gas will hinders your vision. After killing them, go towards the windows to your left. Another wave of Troopers will run out from the left. Kill a few of these, and eventually the Colossus will jump down into the courtyard.

The Troopers will attack the Colossus. If the Colossus spots you, it will charge at you and break through the walls of the warehouse.

Once it creates a hole in the warehouse wall, run out into the courtyard. If the Colossus throws a rock at you, dodge roll. When it charges you, dodge roll to the side of it. The Troopers will focus their attention on the Colossus. After several minutes a shockwave will disrupt the Colossus and it will run away. If there are still Troopers left alive, kill them and walk over to the raised bridge.

You'll see a flashing red light on the far side of the canal. Aim at it and the Glaive will lock on to it as if to Steal it. Throw the Glaive and walk across the bridge. Turn right and go through the double doors. Turn left in this room and walk to the metal grate on the floor. Shoot the lock off of the grate and open it.


CHAPTER 3 - BAGGAGE CLAIM

3.1 - NEW START

Walk down the hall and outside. Turn left and advance along the path. At the end of the path, you'll see a courtyard with military tents.

Take cover along the first tent and move to the right edge. Take out the Troopers as they appear by the crates beside the second tent on the left. Four Troopers should advance to this position. Kill them and advance through the courtyard taking out the other five Troopers. When all nine are dead you'll get the Power Throw.

Head to the gate at the far right of the courtyard and aim at the chain that locks the gate. Do a Power Throw to break it and go down the stairs and along the path. Break the chain on the next gate and go through to the next encounter.

Take cover along the crates neart the end of the wall on the left, and kill as many Troopers as you can from there. Move forward taking cover and killing Troopers as you go.

When you reach the stairs, take cover along the partition separating the stairs and you should be able to kill the remaining Troopers from here. When done, move past the fenced area to the left, to the metal grate on the ground. Shoot the lock off the grate, open the it and go in.


3.2 - ENCOUNTER UTILITY TUNNEL

Turn right at the first turn and left at the second. In the room with the generator, turn left at the bottom of the stairs and go into the room with the short-circuit electrical box. Throw the Glaive at it to trap charge the Glaive with electricity. Go back to the door with the large lock on it and Power Throw the electrified Glaive at it.

Go through the door, walk through the hallways following the path until you find three Howlers. Throw a Grenade into the middle of them and proceed into the room. When you progress further into the room, more Howlers will appear. Kill them with a Power Thrown Glaive or gunshots and proceed to the alcove containing another shorted out electrical box. Trap the electricity on your Glaive and exit the room via the hallway behind the back wall of the alcove. Power Throw the electrified Glaive at the large lock on the door and progress through.

Go down the ladder and move towards the double doors across the room on the raised platform. When the lights go out, get ready to fight off a horde of Howlers. Once you kill the wave of Howlers, the foors will open and three more will come out. Kill them and go into the room, then up the stairs to the office. Open the elevator lock with a Power Throw and go in.


3.3 - ROOFTOPS

As soon as the elevator stops and the doors open, walk forward to the door. Before you can exit the room, you'll get After Touch. Head down the stairs and turn right. Follow the roof to the low wall at the far end. Take cover along the wall and move to the right.

Two Troopers will come from the right, across the roof on a raised walkway. Kill them and let the waves of Troopers come to you. A transport helicopter will drop them off across from the wall you're taking cover on. The Troopers will run along the lower part off the roof, and some will come out from the bunkers on the left and right sides of the roof.

When all the Troopers are dead, go back to the first wall you took cover on, go down the stairs, turn right and go up those stairs. At the top, turn left and walk along the raised path to a fenced portion of the roof on your right.

You'll see a flashing red light on the other side of the fence. Aim between the barbed wire and the top of the gate, throw the Glaive and use After Touch to guide it towards the light. The game will open, go through it and meet Yargo.

After the cutscene, you'll be placed in a small hallway. Go through the hallway to the right and break the lock on the trapdoor. Go down the ladder and down the hallway, and exit through the double doors in the room.


CHAPTER 4 - MOTHS TO THE FLAME


4.1 - NEWSTART

Walk forward and Power Throw the chain locking the gate. Go down the stairs and to the right of the truck sitting on the edge of the crater. Turn right and go up the two sets of stairs to the first Black Market manhole. In the Black Market you can buy, sell, upgrade, store any weapons you have. From the Black Market, turn left and go up the stairs. Go through the the archway and turn right. Drop down to the gap in the railing.

Move forward through the courtyard. A Trooper will bust through the second floor window to the left of the entrance of the building. Waves of Troopers will also run into the courtyard area as you move forward. Kill all of them as they come, and move to the left.

When you kill the Trooper on the emplacement, another will come up to take his place. Get rid of all of them, turn right and go up the stairs. Further up you'll see stairs leading to an entrance on the right. Go to the door.


4.2 - SCHOOL INTERIOR

Go around the elevator bank to the left or right and towards the chained door. Break the chain with Power Throw and go through.

Kill all the Howlers and move to the far side of the large torch in the center of the courtyard. Turn the wheel on it. Go up the stairs towards the Technocyte webbing blocking the door and turn left. Follow the hall around the corner and go through the open door. Electrify the Glaive and throw it at the top of the torch in the center of the courtyard. Now throw the fire Glaive at the Technocyte webbing.

Go through the door and follow the steps up and to the right. Turn right at the top of the stairs and go through the open door. Turn left and go through the open door. Walk through the classroom and turn right in the next one. Walk through the open door and turn left. Follow the hallway to the chained door and Power Throw to break it. Walk to the railing and throw the Glaive at the flame from the torch in the center of the courtyard. Go through the door you just broke the chain off of and throw the fire Glaive at the Technocyte webbing. Go into the elevator car and turn around. Press the action button to start the elevator.

On the third floor, move to the right and through the doors. Follow the hallway to the open door on the right and go inside. Three Howlers will break down the boards blocking the door. Kill them, go through the door into the next room. Walk out the door on the far left of the room, and follow the hallway until you see another Technocyte webbing blocking yourway. Trap fire on the Glaive, burn it and walk through the open door to the left. Inside, turn right and advance to the end of the level.


4.3 - FOCUS TEST A

After the cutscene, move to the edge of the balcony jump down. Walk forward and to the right. Take cover along the wall and move to the corner. Jump to the concrete barriers and take cover along them. Move to the right towards the van while taking cover along the barriers. Run to the front of the van and take cover along the front it. Kill some Troopers until the Colossus attacks.

Walk forward to where the Troopers were. Turn right at the corner and follow the alley to the open door. Inside, go down the stairs and through the door.


4.3 - FOCUS TEST B

At the start, you'll see a Trooper manning an emplacement directly in front of you. Kill him and then find some cover overlooking the street and the far courtyard. Waves of Troopers will start attacking you. Take them out.

After killing them all, move through the courtyard and up the steps on the far end. Turn right at the corner and follow the alley down the steps. Here you have two choices.

If you take the left path, follow it down and turn right at the corner. Here you'll have a good view of the Troopers attacking you in this encounter. You'll have some good cover points, but the Troopers will be able to flank you from the right.

If you follow the alley straight, you'll come to another alley situated to the right of the encounter. There isn't much cover here, but the Troopers won't be able to flank you as easily.

After killing all the Troopers, go down the alley to where they were attacking you from. On the left you'll see an opening. Follow the stairs down and stop before reaching the corner.

Take cover along the wall and aim around the corner. Take out the Trooper manning the emplacement below you on the left. Directly under you, two Troopers will be attacking you. Power Throw and After Touch at them from up top . Kill the three, move to the ledge and jump down to the alley. Walk forward to the sandbags and jump over them.

Go up the stairs and pick up the RPG launcher. Take cover along the crates where you found the launcher and fight the Jackal from here. Six RPGs should kill it.

Now trap fire from the exploded Jackal and burn the Technocyte webbing blocking the mansion door on the left side of the courtyard. Go up the stairs to the door, open it and move on to the next level.


4.4 - MANSION

From the start, go up the stairs and turn left. Open the door. Electrify the Glaive and turn around. Move through the second floor, past the staircase and turn left at the corner. Go through the door and look down into the hole. Throw the fire Glaive at the gas streaming out of the pipe to set the Glaive on fire. Go out into the hall and burn the Technocyte webbing.

Go up the stairs and turn left. Follow the hall to the first door on the left and go into the room. Go across the room to where it looks like the roof has collapsed. Turn left and through the hole you can trap fire. Go out into the hallway again and burn the Technocyte webbing. Go the stairs into the attic and walkforward to end the level.


4.5 - BRIDGE

From the start, walk forward until you see a large archway on the left wall. Go through the archway and down the ramp.

Waves of Howlers will begin crawling out of the ground in the alley to the right. Half will attack you and the other half will attack the Troopers behind the sandbags at the end of the alley. Take out as many of the Howlers as you can and let the Troopers do the rest.

Walk through the alley taking cover along the wooden signposts or the planters. A Trooper wil be firing at you from the top of the bridge. Turn right at the end of the alley and kill the Troopers in the courtyard.

Walk through the courtyard, towards the sandbags blocking the bridge. Take out the Trooper manning the emplacement and the Maulers. Jump over the sandbags and move up the bridge.

Three Troopers will be facing the tunnel, standing by an emplacement. You can either kill them or let the Howlers do it. Take control of the emplacement. Shoot the barrels in the tunnel to stop the incoming Howlers.

Go into the tunnel and turn left just before the truck. Go through the door. Follow the alley forward and to the right. At the end, turn left and Power Throw the Glaive at the chained gate. Go through.


4.6 - NEW GRAVE

From the start point, head right towards the wheel on the stone pillar. Turn the wheel to light the torches. Throw the Glaive into the firethen burn the Technocyte webbing.

Follow the tunnel to the next area but don'tg o down the stairs yet. Howlers from four spawn points will start crawling out of the ground. Stay in the tunnel to prevent being surrounded, kill them and advance through the graveyard. Go through the opening on the left wall.

Follow the path forward. There will be an opening on the gate to the left side, and stairs leading down. Go down the stairs and follow the path around to the right. Turn right at the rubble and go up the stairs to the mausoleum.

Go inside and head to the far end. You'll spot a valve wheel, turn it to light the torch in the mausoleum and the one outside. Waves of Howlers will come at you. Kill them then trap fire on your Glaive. Run outside and turn left. Follow the little courtyard over to the left and throw the fire Glaive up over the fence towards the torch in front of the mausoleum. Use After Touch to guide it to light it.

Go down the stairs and follow the path back to where you lit the torch in front of the mausoleum. Trap fire on your Glaive again and burn the Technocyte webbing. kill all the Howlers that come at you before continuing. Trap fire on again and follow the stairs down to the left curving path.

Follow the path to the left and at about the midway point, a torch will be above and to the right of you. Throw the fire Glaive at the torch to light it, and continue along the path. Burn the Technocyte webbing and follow the stairs up. At the top of the stairs, turn right and head into the tunnel.

At the end of the tunnel, turn left and move towards the church. Trap some fire and burn the webbing blocking the entrance. Go inside.


4.7 - CHURCH

Move forward and to the left. Follow the stairs up and go through the open door into the church. Now you will have to fight the Colossus.

First you need to stop it from jumping from pillar to pillar and throwing rocks at you. Set the Glaive on fire and throw it at the Colossus when it is stopped on a pillar. The Colossus will fall to the ground, stunned. Run over and start a finisher. Press the matching button repeatedly to execute the finisher. After the finisher, the Colossus will pound the ground with its fists, dodge roll away. The Colossus will then hop back onto a pillar and start throwing pieces of it at you. Repeat the finisher process two more times.

Now the Colossus is on the ground, but it will still throws rocks and charge you. Set the Glaive on fire and Power Throw at the Colossus. This damages to hard exterior and will allow you to hit that charred spot with bullets. Keep doing this over and over, it will take a while but it's the only way to kill it. Once you kill it, go through the opening behind the altar and through the grate on the floor.


4.8 - CATACOMBS

Go down the stairs and into the room. An automatic RPG emplacement is scanning the room on the right corner, it will fire at you when it spots you. Using Shield Power to deflect the RPG at the closed door on the far side of the room.

Go through the open door, down the stairs, turn right, and down another flight of stairs to the room below. Halfway down the room will be an open door on the left. Go through it and watch the cutscene.

Go back out into the room and turn left. Jump up the small wall into the hole and run out the back before the timer runs out.


CHAPTER 5 - THE SHIPMENT

5.1 - START

Walk to the shorted generator and electrify your Glaive. Go down the hall to the locked door and Power Throw the lock.

After the cutscene, go forward and wait for the Jackal on the other side to blow up the seemingly blocked path. Find some cover quickly once it does. Aim at the truck, shoot or Power Throw the barrels on the back of it to blow it up. Trap some fire on the Glaive and walk towards the cage at the far end of the area. Burn the webbing and throw the Glaive into the cage. Use After Touch to guide the Glaive into the electrical box. Locate the Jackal, and Power Throw the electrified Glaive at the eye on the front. It will stun it long enough for you to run around the back of it and climb in.

Shoot a rocket at the wall on the right side of the area to open up the rest of the level. Move forward through the trench killing Troopers as you see them. Keep an eye up high, the Troopers will come out of doors located in the buildings above the trench. Turn left in the trench and move forward.

At the second turn, a railroad bridge will be ahead and above you. Two Troopers carrying RPG Launchers will run to the tracks. Make sure you kill them. Move to under the railroad bridge and keep moving forward.

At the end of the trench there's a staircase on the left leading up to a raised platform and a garage door. Kill all the troopers, exit the Jackal and climb the stairs up to the open garage door. Go inside the garage and up the stairs in the far right corner. Turn left. Follow the catwalk to the closed double doors and go through them.


5.2 - PIER EAST

Walk forward and to the right. Follow the train tracks outside the garage and to the first encounter on the pier. Along the tracks you'll gain Energy Pulse, which is very useful for killing groups of enemies.

Go down the stairs and walk forward, taking cover on the stack of railroad ties. After killing all of the Troopers, walk down the pier and turn right after the large containers. Go into the office, turn right, open the closed doors and go through.

Here, Troopers will be coming from the catwalk above you. Find cover hat allows you to see the stairs coming down, and you should be able to kill them all easily. Go up the stairs to the catwalk and towards the door at the far side of it.

After dispatching the Mauler that bursts through the door, progress down the hall and turn to the left at the end of it. Located here is the last encounter. Find some good cover and kill these Troopers quickly because they will throw plenty of Enferon grenades at you. After killing the Troopers here, progress to the far end of the catwalk and turn left. Follow the stairs down to the lower level and run out the open garage door.

Walk to end of the pier to trigger a cutscene.


5.3 - FREIGHTER DECK

At the beginning of the level, go forward to either side of the shipping containers. Go up the stairs and stop before you reach the top. Kill the Sniper Trooper. Move to the opening in the railing and drop down to the deck.

On the deck there will be a few waves of Troopers hiding around the containers. Kill them all and a Helicopter will fly over shooting at you. Take down the Helicopter and make your way over to where it crashed. It left a big hole on the deck, so jump down.


5.4 - FREIGHTER HOLD

Walk through the door directly in front of you. This will lead into the next cargo area. One of the infected people will break out of the cage and try to attack you. Get rid of the Howler and keep going. Activate the control panel to the left of the door to open it. Grab the ammo to the right of the door, then go through.

You'll be in another cargo hold. Turn left and walk forward. Turn left again after the boxes to see the Fire Power Upgrade Case. Walk up and grab it, then turn right. Walk toward the open door, take the ammo to the left of it, and go into the next cargo hold for a cutscene.


5.5 - FREIGHTER HOLD SINKING

Now the ship is sinking and you have 10 minutes to get out. Move to the right and climb the ladder. Turn right and walk forward. Go through the door down the hallway to the left.

The door will close behind you. Walk through the rushing water to get around the fire to your left. Howlers will be crawling out of the water and make you lose time if they grab you. When the fire is in view, throw the Glaive at it. Now Power Throw at the barrel on top of some crates in the water. When it ignites, go back through the water and go left onto the floating crates. The barrel will explode, and pieces will create a bridge for you to cross the room. Before you cross, electrify the Glaive. Cross the bridge, take a right and run towards the locked door. Use the Glaive on the electric lock, open it and go through.

The door closes behind you . Move forward, take the first right. Roll under the flames, turn left and walk onto the floating barrels to reach the other side. Turn left again and run down the cargo hold. Keep an eye out for Howlers in the water again. Kill them and turn to the fenced area to the left of the door.

After Touch the Glaive through the gap in the fencing to trap the electricity. Turn left and use the Glaive on the door to open it. Go through.

Walk forward into the final hold. At the end of the hall a Mole will come out of the ground. Kill it as quickly as possible. Walk forward and turn left onto the floating crates. Go right and walk towards the last locked door. Turn left and walk until you see an open doorway on the left. Go in and run to the end of the hall. Turn left for another After Touch activity. Trap electricity at the end of the fenced off area and return to the locked door, either avoiding or killing the Howlers.

Throw the electric Glaive at the door to open it and run through. Go up the stairs, turn right and walk up the second set of stairs. At the top, pick up the upgrade to the right. Run out.


CHAPTER 6 - THE BAIT

6.1 - START

Turn right, go around the Military Truck and pick up 1,000 Rubles and some ammo. Go to the Black Market, since this is the only chance in chapter 6 to buy, sell and upgrade. Once you're done, go forward.

Go through the gate, turn a bit to the right and walk towards the tent. Inside you will find the Accuracy Weapon upgrade. Walk out of the tent and defeat the Stingers. A door on the right side will open when you're killed them all and two Howlers will come through. Kill them.

Collect the 1,000 Rubles from the table and the two ammo from the boxes. Go through the door the Howlers came through. Go either way to find the exit door.


6.2 - ENCOUNTER INFESTED FIRST FLOOR

Walk to the large hole on the ground. Look in to see a generator and some water. One of the pipes on the right is shining, throw the Glaive at it to break it. Water will fill the hole and the generator will catch on fire. Turn left and go into the room. Pick up the ammo and 1,000 Rubles.

Go back to the hole and use the Glaive on the generator to trap fire. Turn left and throw the Fire Glaive at the black ooze (a Technocyte Webbing) to burn it. Pick up the Enferon Shells weapon upgrade from the table. Walk through the doorway you have cleared.

Turn left and follow the hallway. Kill the group of Stingers, pick up the 1,000 Rubles on the left side of the kiosk, and the ammo on the gray metal crate. Walk down the stairs.

Stingers will attack Hayden in pairs. They come down from the second story, take cover and shoot projectile weapons at you. Two more Stingers will break down the doors on the far side of the room. Defeat them and then pick up the two ammo refills in the room. Go through the doorway the Stingers have opened, turn left and follow the hallway to the wooden door.


6.3 - ENCOUNTER MAIN HALL

Pick up the ammo from the table right in front of you. Once you do, two Stingers will come through the large windows. Kill them and pick up the Rubles from the bench near the left window. Tturn right and jump out through the broken window. You will be ina courtyard with an open door, which really leads to a closed door.

You will have to defeat waves of Stingers that keep jumping down from the windows. Defeat all the Stingers and the closed door will open, and a bunch of Howlers will come rushing out. Be far enough away so that you can Power Throw the Glaive at as many as you can.

When all Howlers are dead, go through the open door and go up the stairs to the Main Hall. Turn right and go up another set of stairs and pick up the ammo at the top. Turn left and take the Stopping Power weapon upgrade from the bench.

Walk into the room. Walking forward a bit or killing a Stinger will trigger a short cutscene. An Elite Trooper will appear, and you will have to break the blue power cells on his shoulders and back that keep his mechanical suit running. Once you have broken all of them, stun himw ith the Glaive and finish him off.

His body now becomes an electricity source, so trap some with your Glaive. Walk to the archway that is still standing and go up the two flights of stairs to pick up 1,000 Rubles from a table. Go back down.

Go to the furthest opening on the left side of the room, it should lead to a hallway. Turn right when you enter the room and walk around the barricade. Throw the electrified Glaive at the panel to the left of the elevator to power it up. Enter the elevator to advance.


CHAPTER 7 - INDUSTRIAL EVOLUTION

7.1 - START

Walk forward, around the corner to the right and down the stairs. Turn left and walk into the courtyard. Kill the wave of Stingers and go through the open garage door. Turn left at the corner, then right when you reach the large door leading to the train tracks.

There will be a freeze tank on one of the railroad cars. Power Throw the Glaive at it to trap ice, then Power Throw at the Technocyte webbing on the wall. Proceed through the next room and turn right. Follow the hallway and take cover behind the concrete barrier at the bottom of the stairs.

You will be attacked by a wave of Howlers, then a wave of Stingers and one Chroma. Kill all of them and go to the stairs at the far right. Go through the door and follow the hallway.

Walk along the train tracks to the left. Stingers and a Chroma will jump out onto the tracks At the end of the tracks, turn left and go past the four freeze tanks by the stairs.

Another wave of Stingers and a Chroma will be waiting. Kill them and walk down the tracks to the left. Go through the door and down the hallway. There will be some Howlers in your way. Kill them and open the door at the end of the hallway, to the left.


7.2 - ENCOUNTER TRAINYARD TWO

Go outside to find a group of Stingers. Kill them and walk through the archway on the far right. Go down the stairs and turn right.

Go down the path and kill the Howlers. At the end you'll find another wave of Stingers. Kill them and go up the stairs to the raised platform. Go through the archway and down the stairs. Follow the path straight and past the burning wreackage on your right you'll see a bunch of Troopers fighting Howlers.

Walk into the courtyard and finish off the ones still standing. Once all are dead, an Elite Trooper will come from across the courtyard, a room at the top of the stairs. Shoot or Power Throw at the blue power cells on his shoulders and back. When all are destroyed, finish him.

Power Throw the Glaive at the corpse to trap electricity. Go to the room he came from, at the top of the stairs. Throw the electrified Glaive over the gate and under the barbed wire, then After Touch to direct it to the electrical box on the wall to open the gate. Go through, turn left and follow the railroad tracks to the left.


7.3 - ENCOUNTER UNDERGROUND ONE

Follow the train tracks out of the tunnel and to the left. Kill the Stingers and Chroma. Trap ice on on the Glaive from the freeze tanks, take it to the fire blocking the end of the tracks and Power Throw into the fire to put it out.

Walk into the tunnel. Push the small train cart on the tracks. When it stops rolling, go up the stairs onto the raised walkway. You'll see a hole in the wall about halfway down the path. A Stalker will grab you when you walk under it. Press the button on the screen repeatedly to get away. At the end of the path, turn left and go down the stairs.

Follow the tracks to the right and go up the stairs on the right. Turn right on the platform and once the train goes by, a group of Stingers will start shooting at you. Kill them, go down the stairs and turn left. Go to the center of the platform and follow the tracks to the left. Go through the tunnel and continue along the tracks until you come to a stopped train cart. Push it.

Stay behind the cart, was some Troopers will be waiting for you. Shoot the barrels to explode them and kill some Troopers in the process. Kill the rest, including the one operating the turret on the train. When all are dead, go up the stairs on the right and get onto the train cart that has the turret. Turn right and jump over the railings.

Howlers and Stingers will come from the tunnels. You can use the turret to get rid of them, and explode some flammable barrels to your advantage. A Chroma will appear breaking the barriers on blocked tunnel. Once it's dead, walk to where it cam through and find the doors.


7.4 - ENCOUNTER UNDERGROUND TWO

Head down the hall and turn left. On the right side there's a valve, turn it to see streams of water coming from the pipes on the ceiling. You will notice the first stream freeze automatically, you can use it to cover against the incoming Troopers. Kill them all and go down to the tracks. You trap ice from the yellow freeze tank and use the other streams of water to create more ice shields. An Elite Trooper will be waiting in the middle of this area. There is also an Elite Trooper waiting in about the middle of the area. Remember to destroy the blue power cells on his shoulders and back first. After all the Troopers and the Elite are dead, trap ice on the Glaive and Power Throw at the fire at the end of the tracks to put it out.

Follow the tracks until you see a pile of rubble on the left. Keep going down the tracks until you see stairs going up to an open door. Go through the rooms and stop at the platform. Turn right and trap ice on the Glaive from the yellow tank. Move to the side of the platform where you can see a flooded hole with a train car in it. Power Throw at the water bellow to freeze it. Walk onto the ice and to the right. Climb on to the other platform and go through the door on the right. Open it and go through.

Go down the stairs, onto the train tracks. As you move, Howlers will come out of the ground and attack you. Kill them as you go, and once you pass the first pillar, a train will come zooming along and kill whatever is in its way. Dodgee way, kill any remaining Howlers and keep moving along the tracks.

Continue through the tunnel and onto the platform on the left, where a bunch of Stingers will attack you. Kill them all, including one standing on thr train car to the left. That will make the train move out of your way. Go up the stairs to the platform and kill yet more Stingers. Go up the stairs leading outside, and up the next flight of stairs to proceed.


7.5 - ENCOUNTER FACTORY INSIDE ONE

Run to the pillar ahead and to the left, and take cover. Kill all the Stingers and Chroma from here (they tend to jump from platform to platform), and once done, some Howlers will come through the blocked door.

Go through this door and in the next room, more Howlers will crawl out of the ground. Kill them, move on to the next room and turn right at the end. Move along the walkway and look around to see a Stopping Power Upgrade (steal it with the Glaive. Go down the stairs.

More Stingers and Chroma, kill them as you see them. Proceed along the conveyor belt where the Stingers were taking cover end exit the room near the generators. Go through another four room until you reach a large room. There will be a small valve near some stairs. Turn it to get the water flowing from the pipes on the ceiling. Trap some ice from the tank to your left and keep freezing the water to get some barriers between you and the Stingers and Chroma that will appear.

Go through the right turn and into the door, down the stairs into a hallway with Technocyte webbings. Keep going down the hallway and go through the door at the end.


7.6 - STALKER

Trap some ice from the cannisters rolling down the conveyor belt. The Stalker will be cloaked so you can't see it, but there's a trick. Throw the Glaive at the Stalker when it charges to attack you, just watch as the ripples of water start heading towards you. You can also listen to the water splashes and watch the particle effects. Dodge roll backwards and throw at his feet, then unload a bunch of hits.

Do this a few times and the Stalker will become visible and climb up a piller. Get a few more shots in and wait until it appears out of one of the three tunnels/pipes on the wall. When it does, it will throw three explosive projectiles that will kill you if they hit you. Use your shield to block and bounce them back, repeat this a few times until you are able to use a finisher.

At the end, you receive Shift, which makes you invisible briefly. Use it on the security camera to get through the door that keeps closing when you come near.


CHAPTER 8 - UNNATURAL HISTORY

8.1 - START

Walk out of the door that is directly in front of you and turn right. This will lead into a reception area for the hospital. In the room is a Howler munching on an unfortunate trooper. Kill him and watch as his buddies open the door that is to the right of Hayden and rush at Hayden. Kill all the Howlers and collect the ammo pickup that is near the dead trooper, as well as the ammo behind the reception desk. With those collected, walk through the open door and enter the hallway. There is an ammo pickup hidden behind the gurney at the end of the hall, which needs Hayden to use the Steal ability to collect. Turn left and enter the patient room. Turn right and walk the length of the room, then turn right to exit through the open doorway.

When Hayden exits the room, he is greeted by some Howlers. Destroy the Howlers, then enter the laundry room that is to Hayden's right. Turn left and look near the yellow laundry carts. An Accuracy Upgrade Case is there for Hayden to collect. Grab it and return to the hallway. In the room across from the laundry room is another box of ammo, hidden by another yellow laundry cart. Exit the room and turn left and run down the length of the hallway, to the open doors at the end. When Hayden arrives at the end of the hall, he is again greeted by more Howlers. Dispatch the Howlers and enter the shower hall. If you need ammo, across from the entrance to the shower hall there is an operating room with a box of ammo on one of the surgical trays.

In the shower room, walk forward towards the far wall, then turn right. There should be some more Howlers moving toward Hayden to attack him. Kill the Howlers and exit to the door that is on the right. Turn right when through the door and again, run the length of the hall until Hayden reaches the hospital morgue. In here, Hayden will have to fight not only more Howlers, but some Stingers as well. They Howlers will act as a wall between Hayden and the Stingers. Quickly kill or get around the Howlers to get to the Stingers. Once all enemies have been defeated, continue through the morgue until Hayden reaches a point where the hallway is blocked off by hospital equipment. Turn left and enter the room to collect more ammo that is sitting on the bed. Go across from the private room to enter another patient ward. Turn left and run the length of the room, turning left at the end so that Hayden will exit the room. Turn right to see the open doorway. Walk through it to enter another hallway. This hallway leads into a small room that contains the levels exit door at the bottom of the stairs. Walk Hayden to the door and use the Action Button to exit the level.


CHAPTER 9 - THRESHOLD GUARDIAN

9.1 - START

Once the elevator stops, walk out of the building. Slide down the wall. There's a Black Market to the right of where you land. Walk forward and turn right to find some goodies. Turn around and face the locked fence. Power Throw the Glaive at the lock to open the gate. Go through and you will come to an aread with a lot of Troopers, shooting and throwing Enferon grenades at you. Kill all the troopers in the area until one of them destroys the barricade on the left side of where they have been taking cover on. Kill that one and go through the opening.

In the new area, more Troopers and Maulers will be wating. Take out the Maulers from a distance, and then the rest. Once all are dead, pick up the Fire Rate Weapon Case and ammo to the left of a walkway. Go back towards the Mauler/Trooper area and run across to the small bridge. Turn left before reaching the wall to find a briefcase and some Rubles. Walk back out to the Mauler/Trooper and go right and up the stairs.

Turn left and go down the hallway. Elite Trooper will come down from the ceiling about half way down. Kill it as before, break the power cells first. Trap the electricity from the dead body and throw the Glaive at the panel to the left of the garage door. Go through the open door.

Here you need to kill all the Troopers in the distance, then the ones that are dropped off on the roof. The gate on the right explodes, so kill the Troopers who just blew it up. Run to the gate, turn left and folloe the path. A Mauler and Trooper will be guarding the small room at the end. Kill them, go in and go through the wooden door.

9.2 - NEW AMBUSH

You start facing some Howlers. Fight your way through the bridge until you reached the second overturned containment unit. Turn left and look over the side. There's a Fire Power Upgrade Case in the boat, you can steal it with the Glaive. Turn right and go towards the sandbags . Jump over and turn right to find the last Black Market location. Just past it there are more Rubles and ammo in the locked box. Turn around and keep going.

When you reach the fork, go right. Break the chain on the gate and go through. Follow the path around the building, turn right and go across the bridge. Half way across, an Elite Trooper destroys the bridge and you fall.

You now have to fight two Elite Troopers plus some regular Troopers. Take cover on one of the generators and destroy the power cells on the Elite Troopers. Kill one and pick up its Assault Cannon or trap electricity and use the Glaive to kill the other Elite and the rest of the Troopers.

When all are taken care of, walk across the small bridge and turn right. Run to the stairs leading up to a raised platform. On the platform, turn right and run forward. Two Troopers will exit through a garage door, kill them, run to the wall in front of you and turn right along the platform. Some Troopers will be running towards you on the lower platform There will be some troopers running toward Hayden on the lower part, and three other will be running to the turret above the garage door. Run along the building using Shield Power as needed. As soon as you can spot the fire from the explosion, throw the Glaive and trap it. Power Throw the Glaive at the Troopers on the turret and get rid of them. Burn the Technocyte Webbing covering the ladder on the right. Go up.

When you reache the top, turn right and run forward. Some Troopers will try to stop you, kill them as you go. Follow the path along the building, and take a right at the end of the railing. Another group of Troopers and a Mauler will be waiting for you. Get rid of them and continue past the turret. Turn left at the overhang and follow the path, towards the open garage door.

9.3 - NEMESIS BATTLE

Turn right and head for the open door. Upon entering, follow the wall left, then turn into the opening to the right. Walk through the the doorway and enter the foundry. Walking into the room to activate the cutscene.

After the cutscene, you are left face to face with Nemesis. Nemesis starts the fight charging at you. Press the button indicated on the screen, then dodge the attack. Nemesis will summon electricity on to its Glaive after a while and will throw it at you. Dodge the throw, and throw your Glaive at the Nemesis' Glaive to trap electricity. You need to hit Nemesis three times with the electrified Glaive, but every time you hit, you will need to re-trap electricity, so the process repeats. Two electrified throws will knock down his shield after two throws, the third throw will stun him. When this happens, run over and do a Finisher.

Nemesis will then run away and jump up to a platform located on the opposite wall from the entrance. Nemesis will again summon electricity on to its' Glaive and try to hit you with it. Just like before, dodge the throw and trap electricity on your Glaive. Nemesis' shield returns whenever he lands on the platform, so you have to destroy the shield with electricity again.

When you hit the Nemesis on the platform once, it jumps down and tries to hit you with melee attacks. Repeat the process to make it jump back up to the platform. Do this a couple more times. Nemesis will become more aggressive. Repeat the process to get it stunned and do the Finisher.

Hint: After Nemesis throws the Glaive while on the platform, Power Throw your Glaive at the wall behind him. The burst damage will knock him off of the platform, and you can still keep your Glaive electrified.

9.4 - JACKAL RUN

Enter the parked Jackal that is to his right. Kill the three troopers that are in the area, then shoot two rockets at the gate to destroy it. Go through.

To the right, there is a Trooper shooting the Jackal and he's got some grenades up his sleeve. get rid of him and turn the Jackal left. A Trooper will run onto a turret with two Troopers. Dispatch the troopers, then destroy the Military Truck to get rid of the Troopers near it. With all enemies dead, turn the Jackal to the right and destroy the gate. Go through.

Beyond the gate, up on the cliff side are two more turrets firing RPGs at you. Listen for the missile detection system and use the Evolution Power button. Shoot the cliff side assassins are with the Jackal's machine guns. Next a small group of four will come around the bend. Ambush them with a rocket. Continue to where they came from.

The missile detection system will sound as you go around the bend, it will be coming from the tower off in the distance to your left. To the right behind the concrete barrier is another trooper armed with an RPG. Take care of both. After they have been taken care of, blow up the gate to the right. Exit the Jackal and run for the gate. Run into the garage and drop down the back wall.

Hint: Stay in the Jackal throughout this level, it's the best way to get through the entire level safely.


CHAPTER 10 - DARK SECTOR

10.1 - ENTRANCE TO VAULT

Walk down the path, and head towards the construction equipment. As soon as you clear the train car, a cutscene will begin. In the cutscene, Hayden meets with the 'A.D.' face to face, and gives him a piece of his mind.

After you regain control, kill the Hazmat troops. Start with the ones who are getting up, they are easier to get rid of. Once all the troopers are dead, walk into the large cliff side opening that leads into the Vault. Follow the train tracks inside. After entering the large room, turn right. Then locate the ladder that leads up to the Vault door control room. At the top of the ladder, turn right and enter the small room. Press the button that is to the right to open the large door. Climb back down the ladder and go through the open door.

10.2 - INSIDE THE VAULT

Walk up onto the staircase to the left and follow the train tracks down. You will come across hordes of Stingers and Chroma. Battle through the hordes of enemies to reach the elevator on the left side, on the other side of the barrier. Once you reach the elevator, use the Action button on the control panel to the left of the elevator. An alarm will sound, signaling that the elevator is on its way up, which attracts more enemies. Defeat them, or survive long enough for the elevator to arrive. Step inside and it will descend.

When the elevator stops, exit and run to the opening to the right side of the room. Follow the path to the back of the room, and push the button to open a door. Return to the elevator room and go down the stairs on the left. When you passe through the doorway, there is another cutscene. Continue forward down the path, into a large room with two train tunnels. Take the left tunnel.

10.3 - MEZNER

Walk along the train tracks until you reach a large dock area. A cutscene will play, filling you in on the story.

Mezner will summon three huge tentacle monsters. Hit the blue spots to expose their weak points, which is inside their mouths. Use electricity (throw the Glaive at the transformer to the right of the fight area on the green structure, or the large transmitter above Mezer's ?throne?) on their weak point (it looks like an eye). If you get too close, the tentacles will attempt to crush you, and they also spit acid and throw rocks. If you throw the Glaive at one of the tentacles and miss the weak spot or its kill point, the tentacle will attempt to grab you. If it grabs you and if he is grabbed, it is instant death.

So the first stage of the Mezner fight is pretty straight forward. Dodge the tentacle's attacks, counter attack with the electrified Glaive until all three tentacles are dead. Now Mezner will show himself. Mezner will mentally attack Hayden, and if Hayden does not hit him with a Power Throw, Mezner will kill him. So Power throw away.

After Mezner has a taste of the Glaive, he will summon up two more tentacles. Also joining the fun are two Howlers. The Howlers will come out of the ground off to the left and right near the green support structures. The tentacles also have a new attack as well. Now they will open their mouths and ?kiss? the ground. A spike will move in a straight line, popping in and out of the ground as it attempts to hit attack Hayden from below. Just like the other tentacles, pop the blue spots to make their mouths open up, then finish them with the electricity.

Once again, Mezner will come out of his shell and try to attack Hayden mentally again. Power Throw the Glaive at him to shut him up. Now, Mezner is mad. He summons up five tentacles (three in the middle, and one on each side of Hayden). This round, the tentacles have two new attacks. They will spit a fireball at Hayden, as well as an upgraded ?kiss? attack. The spike will come up out of the ground and attempt to choke Hayden down to the ground, where the spike will then stab right through him. Complete the mini game successfully to avoid this grisly death.

Just as the rounds before, destroy the blue spots on the tentacles, or win the mini game and slice its tongue off, to make them open up. Kill all five tentacles, and Mezner will attempt to kill Hayden mentally. This time though, it is all or nothing. Power Throw the at Mezner to activate the end cinematic.
