Walkthrough

Valhalla Knights is a great action/RPG that everyone with a PSP should play. There is plenty to do in the game and sometimes it's easy to get lost in the dungeons, so we hope this walkthrough helps you get through the game with little hassle.


OLD PRISON

After the preset battle, you will be able to create your character. I recommend a fighter.

Leave the inn as soon as you can and go into the guild. Look for a party member with your inicial 500G and "hire" a priest. Add the priest to your party and talk to the guild master again. Accept the Golden Wolf quest.


Quest 1: Golden Wolf

Go to the north end of town, but don't zone out. Talk to the elf standing there, he will give you a Golden Pelt. Take the pelt to the shop and talk to the shopkeeper. Report to the guild.


OLD PRISON

Now you can go back to the northern exit and zone out to go to the Old Prison. There will be a guard at the entrance. In the Garden, there is a fountain that recovers your HP, locate it so you can use it later if needed.

Go inside the Old Prison. Open the first treasure chest to get some gold. Continue down and fight a monster to receive a Lump of Gold. Go back to the inn and talk to the innkeeper. Now you can go back and explore the rest of the prison and gain some experience. When you enter, there will be a dialog with Noir. After that, another more quests are unlocked at the guild.


Quest 2: The Sin

Enter the Old Prison and don't go down the stairs, turn left as soon as you enter. Follow the path and enter the only unlocked door at this time. Continue down the path, past the monolight and enter the door to the right. This is a 9-room area. On the top right room of this area there is a chest with armor. On the top left room there is a tombstone that you have to move to unlock a door. Leave the 9-room area through the bottom left room.

Follow the path and go through the door, and you will be in another cluster of rooms. The one on the right has a treasure chest with a sword. The one on the left has a tombstone that needs to be moved. Go back to the room you entered from and head down the stairs, then to your right and through the door. There will be a chest with a spellbook on the room with the monolith straight ahead. Straight into the next room, there's another chest with the item you need to complete this quest, the Rusty Scalpel.

Remember to move all the tombstones to unlock all doors while you're in this area.

After the cutscene, report to the guild for your reward and feel free to add another member to your party. Accept a new quest.


Quest 3: The Ocean View

Enter the Old Prison and turn left, going all the way to the 9-room area. Exit the area through the bottom left room to find the dwarf woman in the hallway. Report to the guild after the cutscene.


Quest 4: The Alchemist 1

Again, enter the Old Prison and head to the 9-room area. Go through the hallway where the dwarf woman was, and keep going until you reach the end of the hallway and see a door. Inspect all the monoliths. After inspecting the final monolith, you get cutscene. Report to the guild for your reward after that.


LOST ROAD

Enter the Old Prison and go right, through the door. Follow the path and you will find a chest with an Anti-Poison spellbook in the first room to the right. Following this path to the end will take you to the Lost Road entrance.

After the cutscene, take the path through the right and go through the door. Then go left keep going down the path until you see a small room with a Giant. Go into the room and flip the switch. Go back to where you came from (turn on the first right). The next path to the right has a portal that takes you to the Old Prison. The room at the end has a chest with the Brightness spellbook. Go to the guild to get your next quest.


Quest 5: The Adolescent Confession

Enter Lost Road and go left, then go through the door straight ahead. Continue straight until you reach the room with the Giant. The girl you have to give the letter to is in this room. There is also a chest with some pants. Return to the guild for your reward after delivering the letter.


Quest 6: The Challenge

Go back to Lost Road. Take the same path as in Quest 5, but turn right before the walking into the room at the end. Follow this path until you reach a door and go through it. The path curves to the left, and the dwarf will be standing in a room to the left. This is a one-on-one duel, so be prepared. Defeat Ralgo in the duel and go back to the guild. Now you can add him to your party.


Quest 7: Finding Tess

You can find the dog in the left area of the Garden before entering the castle dungeon. Return to the guild to get your reward.


WICKED FOREST

The entrance to the Forest is located at the bottom right side of Lost Road. You will have to fight a Poison Beetle when you try to get through. There will be a cutscene after the fight. Continue down the path and flip the switch in the room at the end. Go back to Lost Road and get your quest at the guild.


Quest 8: The Flowers

Enter Wicked Forest and go down the stairs in the second room to the left. A room on the right has a spellbook in the treasure chest. On the next floor, go left and follow the path around. Continue down this path as far south as you can and enter the room on the right (two rooms past the treasure chest room). Flip the switch here.

Go to the room in the southeast corner and go up the stairs. Go immediately left and go north, and in the first room to the right take the staircase down. Go left and inspect the cross to place the flowers. After the cutscene, enter the farthest south room (there's a chest with a bow) and flip the switch there to open the warp in the center of the floor. Use the warp to go back to Old Prison. Go to the church to meet the girl, and then to the guild to get your reward.


Quest 9: The Green Light

From the main entrance to the Wicked Forest, go to the room on the left and take the stairs down. Turn left, go north and follow the path as is curves. Inspect the monolith in the second room to the right. After the cutscene, go back to the guild for the reward.


Quest 10: Catch the Thief

Go to Old Prison and use the Wicked Forest warp. Take the stairs up on the west side of this floor. Go northeast and you will find a room with stairs down to another floor on the far east of the map. Go left and at the room at the end you will find the thief and a chest with a spellbook. Go back to the guild. You can now add Retishi to your party.

Go back to the room where you found Retishi and flip the switch there. Leave the room and go into the one across from the staircase. Flip that switch. Go out and to the left, follow the path as it curves to the right. Flip the third switch in the room at the end. This opens the path to Wenekera Fort in the southeast corner.


WENEKERA FORT - CORRIDOR

After the cutscene, go right and move the statue at the end. Now go to the left and move the other statue. Go through the gate, go right past the wyvern (it's guading a chest with a helm) and take the stairs. Keep heading down the path and you will see another wyvern in the first room to the left guarding a chest with a spellbook.

Keep going past the first door (it's sealed) and go into the second door on the left. Move the statue in this room to open the sealed door. Go back to the first room and move the statue there to unlock the door in the second room, which has a warp to Old Prison.

Continue down the corridor as it curves to the left and take the stairs down at the end. There's a locked gate on the right, so go down the path to the left (it's hard to see it). Turn the corner and go right to find a statue on your right. Move it. Continue down the path past the wyvern and at the top of the stairs there will be a gate. Go through it. You will see a chest, there's a Chain Glove inside. Keep going down the path. On the left there is a room with a monolith and a chest containing a Claymore.

Go through the next gate to trigger a cutscene and a boss fight. After that you can advance to Wenekera Fort - Inside. The room on the left has a chest with a Broad Sword. Now that you've opened up the area, go to the guild for more quests.


WENEKERA FORT - INSIDE

This area has the last warp point in the game, so you will end up using it a lot from here on. To open the warp point here, go north from the entrance. Take the second door on the left, then take the first right and move the statue in the room to the right. This unlocks the third door on the left of the main path from the entrance, where the warp point is.


Quest 11: The Merchant

Go to Wenekera Fort - Inside and take the second door to your right. The first room on the left has a monolith, which is the end of this quest. Open the chest, there's a spellbook in it. Go back to the guild toget your reward.


Quest 12: The Casket of Time

Go to Wenekera Fort - Inside and take the first door to your right. Go into the room on the ri ght and move the statue. Take the path as it turns and you will see a sealed door to your right. Continue down the path and enter the next door on the right. Take the path to the right and enter the second room on the left to find a chest containing the Casket of Time. After the cutscene, continue down the path and enter the next room on the left to get a spellbook from the chest. Return to the guild for your reward and another quest.


Quest 13: The Digital Clock

Enter Wenekera Fort - Inside and take the first path straight all the way to the door at the end. Go through the door and turn left. Go around the corner and enter the room on the left to get two treasure chests, the Digital Clock and an Escape Card.

A little past this room, there is a sealed door at the north end. Go back south and exit through the door on the main path. Take the first door to your right (this would be the 5th door to the left if you're going north the main entrance) and follow the path around. Take the first right and enter the room immediately to your left. Talk to the guard here to trigger a fight with a ghost. Defeating the ghost gives you the key to unlock the sealed door and leave the Fort.

Go back to the guild for your reward.


RUCELL CITY

Quest 14: The Alchemist 2

Go through the doors of Rucell City and take a left. Go into the first room on the left to get a treasure chest containing M150 launcher. Go through the door. Go north through the blue path to see a message about a door unlocking. Exit back through the blue path back to the main path from the entrance.

Back on the main path, take a left and go through the doors. Follow the turn to the right and go through the first door on the right. There are no monsters in this area. The treasure chest at the bottom right of the map has a spellbook. The room in the northeast corner has the quest item. Return to the guild for your reward.


To advance the story, go back to the blue path in Quest 14 and continue to the next room for a boss fight. Defeat the boss, get the piece you need and go out the door on the east side of the room. When you reach the main path, take a left. You will go past the room needed to complete quest 14 and continue down the path as it turns right. Go through the doors. Immediately turn left through the next door (there is a piledriver in the room on the right). Go left through the room with the panels, but walk on the lighted panels only. There's a boss fight in the next room that will give you the second piece. Go back to the main room in the center of the area with no monsters, where you completed Quest 14. Talk to the android to get the seal to enter Akatoki. The path to Akatoki is on the bottom left of the area with no monsters.


Quest 15: Find Screw

Go back to the room with no monsters in the middle of the area. In a room on the left side of the map there's a chest that ends this quest. Return to the guild for your reward.


AKATOKI

Quest 17: There's No Use Having Regrets

When you first enter Akatoki, the path straight ahead is a dead end with a chest containing a spellbook. From the entrance, take a right on the main path and then a left through the first door. The first path to the right is also a deadend with a chest containing a Shuriken. Continue north along the path through the doors and go left. Take a right through the doors and the path to your left will lead you to Greta, the goal of this quest. Report back to the guild and Greta can join the party.


Quest 18: The Memorable Spot

When entering Akatoki, take a right on the main path. The second area to the right has a chest with a ninja sword. Right before the end, go into the second area to the left and move the second to last stone on the right. Go back to the main path and go throug the door on the left at the end. Continue north through the door, and north again through the next doors straight ahead. Go into the path on the left and inspect the well to finish the quest. The path on the right has a chest with armor. If you stand around the well for a few minutes, an optional boss fight will appear. Report back to the guild for your reward.


Quest 19: The Scroll of the Ninja

Enter Akatoki and take a right. Go through the first door on the left. Take the first path to the right. You will find the chest containing the scroll at the end. Return to the guild.


To fight the next boss, enter Akatoki and take a right. Go through the first door on the left. Follow the path to the end and go through the door. Go right, and then enter the first door on the left. Talk to Ryozan to trigger a one-on-one fight. When you defeat him, you receive Piece Mark and Left Wing to Holy City. If you go down the path to the right of Ryozan you can find a chest with a ninja sword.


Go back to Rucell City and talk to the android in the main room. Use the seal you got in Akatoki on the sealed door at the top of the area to trigger a boss fight. Defeat the boss , go into the next room and approach the door for a cutscene. Go back to the previous room and fight the android. Defeat the android and go back to the sealed door to enter the spaceship.


HOLY MANALUM

Enter the Holy Manalum to unlock the last quest and go back to Rucell City.


RUCELL CITY

Quest 16: Dream Rich

Go into the final room in Rucell City, the one connecting to the spaceship, to find Stella. Talk to her and report to guild. Stella can now join your party.


HOLY MANALUM

Go down the staircase from the ship to enter the Manalum. Take a left and follow the path around the corner. There's a spellbook in the chest in the second room to the right. Go into the third room on the right and talk to the elf to trigger a boss fight. Defeat it and continue up the path. Take the door on the right. Take the path to the right, go around the corner, to the left and through the door at the end. Go through the next doors straight ahead.

Follow this path around the corner to the left. On the first room to the left there's a chest with APS60K. Continue down the path as it turns to the left again. The room at the end has a monolith with a sphere above it. Inspect and move it. Take the path back to the door, go through it and turn right. Watch out for the Medusa, make sure you have Release Flasks handy.

There is an Escape spellbook in the chest in the middle of the room. Go through the door to the north to trigger a boss fight. After defeating it, go to the next area and stand near the statue. Use the Warp Key to be teleported to the next zone.


GEHENA ABYSS

Walk into the area and go left. Go through the door and follow the path around the corner to the right. In the area with the Great Demon Lord there is a chest with Steel Leggings. Continue up through the next set doors. The second room to the right has a spellbook. Continue on the path as it turns to the right a few times, then to the left, and go through the door.

In this room, the door on the left triggers the boss fight for this area. The door on the right lets you explore the rest of Gehena.


If you go right from the entrance, go through the doors to find a chest with a Battle Axe. Continuing up this path and right through the door, the room where you encountered the third Fire Dragon has a Great Sword. Continuing down the path takes you to the final boss.


BACK IN TIME

You are taken back in time and need to get to Gehena again, this time with Rastul in your party. There are other high level characters available, but only Rastul is mandatory. Switch his job to get his level down, so that all your party members can get decent experience.

You will be visiting the same areas you have visited before, and doors will need to be unlocked again, but they are unlocked in the same manner as before, so look at the previous chapters for instructions.



CHINON CASTLE (Old Prison)


Quest 20: The Charm

Enter Chinon Castle (warp to the dungeon but go through the doors on the left instead of entering the actual dungeon) and go through the door on the right. Follow the path around the corner to the left, up the stairs. Go left, into the first room on the right to find a chest containing the charm. Return to the guild for your reward.


Quest 21: The Holy Prayer

Enter Chinon Castle and go up the stairs to the second floor. Continue forward up the stairs and go through the door. Walk past the fountain and take the stairs up. Enter the door to the Shrine. Go back to the guild to collect your reward.


Quest 22: The Puppy

Walk to the Old Prison, now Chinon Prison, and enter the second room on the left. Go through the doors and turn left. In the room to the left there is a boy and his puppy. Move the stone here and the other stones in the two other rooms. Go back to the guild.


Quest 23: The Sculptor

Enter the main dungeon of the prison. Go left and continue left through the doors. Take the path to the left and open the treasure chest. Report back to the guild.



PROMM TUNNEL (Lost Path)


Quest 24: The Best Ingredients 1

Enter the Lost Path, now known as Promm Tunnel, and take the path left through the doors. Continue straight down (don't take any of the paths to the right) and defeat the frog at the dead end to get a chest with frog meat inside. Go to the tavern to give the man his meat, then report to the guild.


Quest 25: The Blue Gem 1

Enter Promm Tunnel and take the path to your right, through the doors.Follow it along the right as it curves and ends in a room with a chest containing the gem. Report to the guild.



WICKED FOREST

When you first enter the Forest, there is a chest with a HP Necklace in the first room to the left. At the end, near the Wenekera Fort entrance, there is a chest with a Heal spellbook.


Quest 26: The Spirit of the Gods

This quest ends in the same spot as Quest 8, where you placed the flowers. You will have to flip all the switches and open the sealed doors and warp point again.

Enter Wicked Forest and go down the stairs in the second room to the left. On the next floor, go left and follow the path around. Continue down this path as far south as you can and enter the room on the right. Flip the switch.

Go to the room in the southeast corner and up the stairs. Go immediately left and north, and in the first room to the right take the stairs down. Go left and you will see the grave where you placed the flowers. Enter the farthest south room and flip the switch there to open the warp in the center of the floor.


Quest 27: The Mirror to the Future

From Chinon Dungeon, warp to Wicked Forest. Take the stairs up. Go right after entering the next floor and take the first right you can to find the chest containing the mirror. Report to the guild.



WENEKERA FORT


Quest 28: The Twins

The Twin can be found in the Wenekera Fort - Corridor area, in the room to the right of the warp point. Return to the guild to get your reward.


Quest 29: The Halfling's Dream

In the last area of the Corridor, just before you enter Wenekera Fort - Inside, inspect the monolith in the room on the left to find the wizard's book. Report back to the guild to collect your reward. On the right side of the map, next to the gate, there is a chest with Chain Mail armor.



Quest 30: The Will

After entering Wenekera Fort - Inside, take the first door on the left. Take the first path on your right. The room on the left has two chests, one has the will, the other has a corsage. Go back to the guild for your reward.


Quest 31: The Best Ingredients 2

In Wenekera Fort - Inside, there is a set of three rooms on the east part of the map. There's a treasure chest there containing a Ray Storm spellbook. You can get a spider leg by defeating spiders. When you have one, go back to the tavern to deliver the leg and then collect your reward at the guild.


Quest 32: The Best Ingredients 3

Go through Wenekera Fort - Inside as if you were headed to Rucell City. On the path, you will find a dragon. Defeat it and report to the guild.

The northwest area of Wenekera Fort - Inside has a cluster of four rooms, where there is a chest with a Seax. In the northeast corner, there's a chest with a ring.


AKATAOKI


Quest 33: The Blue Gem 2

Go into Rucell and walk through the blue path on the left side of the area to unlock the door to the room in the middle. Go through the room in the middle to reach Akatoki. The chest contains Parallel Heal. After entering Akatoki, turn right, then right again into the first area to find a chest with the blue gem and another chest with a helm. Return to the guild.


Quest 34: The Dumpling

The chest containing the dumpling is in the far northwest corner of the area. Report to the guild for your reward.

With all the quests done, you can now get back to Gehena Abyss and defeat the boss to go back to the Present.


BACK TO THE PRESENT

Now that you're back to the present, Rastul won't be in your party anymore. You can choose to go out to the Garden by walking instead of warping, and you will have to fight the six elves. After defeating them, you can enter the castle and defeat the final boss.

If you need to level up to fight the elves, or if you just want to finish all the quests, warp to the dungeon. Since you're back to the present, all the switches and doors you unlocked before are still unlocked. But there are new treasures to be found.


Quest 35: Song of the Hero and the Princess

Go into the castle (doors to the left of the dungeon entrance). The first room to your left has a chest containing the Gothic Mail. After entering, go through the first door to your right. Follow the corner around to the left and turn left at the top of the stairs. The first room to your right has the Princess' Diary and Gothic Greaves. Go back to the guild for your reward.


Quest 36: The Best Equipment

Take a left when first entering Old Prison. Go towards the 9-room maze. A room just before it has a chest with a Kite Shield. Open the door to the 9-room area. You can complete this quest by inspecting one of the monoliths. Report to the guild for your reward.


Quest 37: True Form

Go straight through the doors of Holy Manalum. The chest with the blue gem is in the room with the fountains. Return to the guild to collect your reward.


Quest 38: The Alchemist 3

In the last area of the Gehena Abyss has the cheast containing Dragon's Left Eye. Report back to the guild.

Now it's time to defeat the last boss. Enter Eerie Castle through the main gate (left of the main dungeon entrance). Go through the doors on the left and go into the first room to the right to get a Gothic Helm. Continue on the path around the corner and up the stairs. Turn right and enter the first room on the left to get a Gothic Gauntlet from the chest. Go back down to the castle entrance.

Go up the stairs and through the door to battle Rastul. After defeating him, continue up the stairs and through the doors to trigger an event. Continue up to the Shrine for the final boss battle.

After defeating the final boss, you get the ability to make all monsters level 99 (talk to the guard at the entrance to the dungeon and answer yes) and one final quest.


Quest 39: Returning to the Heavens

With Luckius defeated, the Grey Lord has no purpose in sticking around. Go back to where you met him in the castle for a battle to send him back to heaven.
